Simple and to the point!

Very clever combining the “G” and “L”.

They did a nice flash animation of raining hearts and couple. Below is a screen shot.

Dogpile always has the best holiday logos.

What Do Search Engines Know About Love?
Posted on February 12th, 2007Inspired by Valentines Days (the day made up by Hallmark) I set out on quest to find out what search engines know about love? I mean everyone relies on search engines for answers so lets see what happens.
Google:
Google seems to get straight to the point. “His love for his work”. Damn Google take a break and love a real person. Please note that Google does not mention anything about loving a women.

DogPile:
Dogpile feels the need to quote love and feels that you could find it on your cell phone. How odd love on a phone… o yea that is called phone sex and it is expensive!

Yahoo:
Yahoo suggest that love is more complicated and has to involve lyrics, real, or true. They also offer that they can predict the name of your true love. How much would that suck if my true love name was “Brittney Spears”. At least I would not have to buy her underwear.

Ask:
Ask thinks that in order to understand what love is you need to understand it origin. Damn that is smart! But for $.99/min you can have a World Renowned Psychic tell you.

You might be wondering why I did not include Bill Gates idea of love. (aka live.com) It is because any women interested in Bill Gates is in for his money not love. Sorry Bill!

Top Search Terms For Year 2006 Are BS!
Posted on December 20th, 2006
Good old Danny of Search Engine Land wrote up a great post about how top search terms for 2006 are bull sh*T.I have to agree. When I first saw these lists pop up I thought they were a bit off and built for the media. I mean these lists are great for the typical internet user and for the media to blow up, but for us SEO SEM people they are not accurate enough. I mean come on we know the lists are censored way to much.
Look at Yahoo top 10:
1. Britney Spears
2. WWE
3. Shakira
4. Jessica Simpson
5. Paris Hilton
6. American Idol
7. Beyonce Knowles
8. Chris Brown
9. Pamela Anderson
10. Lindsay LohanWhat BS! I know more general terms like sex (and other not so pretty terms) are typed into yahoo then Chris Brown or Lindsay Lohan.
Google was not as bad, but still bs.
1. bebo
2. myspace
3. world cup
4. metacafe
5. radioblog
6. wikipedia
7. video
8. rebelde
9. mininova
10. wikiI guess this information was given out for more end of year buzz and fun for the main stream media, but I beg anyone that puts a piss poor top 10 list out to put a disclaimer for us SEO SEM people stating “This list holds no research value and has been publish for the media, because we all know that sex is the top search term.”
