An example of why local search is important

July 31st, 2007 by imnotadoctor

So i am writting this post as a sit and wait for my car to get an oil change. I though to myself how did i choose this location.

The answer is local search.

I first went to google and typed in my zipcode and the keywords oil change. Quickly i found a Jiffy Lube location only a few mile rom work.

From there i headed out to the location. Well with ny non ninja like skills i could not find the damn place. Lucky for me I have Google 411 in my speed dial which pulls its information from Google local.

I simply dialed it up and said Carlsbad California Jiffy Lube. Bam first result was my intended location. I had Google connect me for free and I asked for directions.

So here i am. Remember to think local.

Gotta go my car is done.
