Eyetracking My Love For Ketchup

May 10th, 2007 by imnotadoctor

eyeballI love Ketchup probably more that anyone in this world. It goes great with rye bread and even pizza. When I go shopping it has to be Heinz. They rock!

But what would it take for me to switch brands? Maybe packaging or placement on the shelf to catch my eye? Via threadwatch it is now possible to track what products people look at in a supermarket.

Ahh just imagine the future it is going to be like the minority report and yes the ladies in the future will think I am as better looking than Tom Cruise.

It looks like offline marketing is taking a lesson from the online marketing book. Online we have been able to do eye tracking studies to help us get into the mind of the user with tools like Crazyegg or Robot Replay.

Knowing where people are looking at and clicking we get the competitive edge.

Imagine if I could get one of these tracking deceives on me so I can tell how many people look at me in a day. It might just creep me out.
